Connections Guest House

What? – The house offers 4 double rooms, a restful garden and swimming pool. It is a place where one can relax and be cared for by great Zambian people who will provide tasty meals as required.

Who? – Guests might be FMZ passengers, project helpers, missionaries needing time-out, friends visiting on vision trips or just to encourage personnel here. A Flying Mission 'host' meets visitors and keeps a discreet but watchful eye on their well-being and comfort.

Why? – From the moment FM moved into Zambia in 2004 there was a steady stream of visitors looking at the base, advising and helping in practical ways to develop the site. When flying began in earnest, there were many occasions when passengers needed a bed for the night due to late evening arrivals or early morning departures. So it was that the idea of a dedicated Guest House was born.

How? – One of the 2 family houses on site then began transformation. Volunteers came from different parts of the world with many skills. They re-structured the layout of the house, provided pleasant facilities and redecorated the bedrooms.

When? – The doors opened for business in June 2008.
